About the role

The Durham District School Board is seeking a dedicated Permanent Teacher to provide coverage for Primary and Junior classes on a 0.2 full‑time equivalent basis. You will join a supportive community that values Indigenous partnership, equity, and inclusive education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Ontario curriculum for Primary and Junior students.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to enhance learning outcomes.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs.

Required profile

• Ontario Teaching Certificate (OCT) in good standing.
• Subject qualification in Primary/Junior education.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening.
• Ability to work on a 0.2 FTE schedule covering Primary and Junior classes.
