Permanent Primary/Junior Elementary Teacher (5+ positions)

About the role

The Durham Catholic District School Board is seeking qualified Primary/Junior Elementary Teachers for a permanent, full‑time posting effective August 27, 2026. At least five positions will be filled, with the school location to be determined.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess curriculum for Primary and Junior grades in accordance with Ontario standards.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that respects the diversity of students, staff, and the community.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to support student learning and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records, report on student progress, and participate in professional development.

Required profile

• Valid teaching certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Specific qualification to teach Primary/Junior grades.
• Ability to submit a Pr/Jr division lesson plan for interview consideration.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the values outlined in Article 17 of the board’s hiring rules.
