About the role
The People Lead supports the Store Manager and leadership team by overseeing human‑resources functions that drive compliance, associate engagement, and operational excellence. This role ensures fair employment practices, develops talent, and nurtures a culture aligned with Walmart’s values through effective communication, training, and digital innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Assist leadership with recruitment, hiring, staffing, development, succession planning, scheduling, attendance, and performance management.
- Develop, communicate, and implement HR practices and action plans that meet business needs, using data analysis and continuous improvement.
- Advocate for associates by modeling Walmart core values, fostering respect, and addressing concerns.
- Lead the adoption of technology services and digital solutions, guiding associates in new ways of working.
- Provide business solutions by building stakeholder relationships, identifying needs, and monitoring results.
- Model compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity, and support others in applying these standards.
- Offer expert advice on HR best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Strong collaboration skills with managers, co‑workers, and customers.
- Ability to analyze HR data and translate insights into action.
- Commitment to Walmart’s core values and ethical standards.
- Adaptability to changing demands and organizational shifts.
