People & Culture (HR) Coordinator

About the role

EllisDon is seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to support its HR function across the construction lifecycle. You will act as a trusted partner for employees and managers, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance, and a smooth recruitment experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain confidential HR documentation in line with internal policies and employment legislation.
• Respond to employee inquiries and advise managers on HR policies, programs, and processes.
• Manage full‑cycle recruitment for assigned roles, from job posting to offer preparation.
• Lead the co‑op program, handling recruitment, onboarding, and coordination.
• Serve as an expert user of the HRIS (Workday), entering employee data and lifecycle changes accurately.
• Assist with organization‑wide HR programs, events, communication rollouts, and change initiatives.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of HR experience at a coordinator level.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights).
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Workday is an asset.
