People and Culture Consultant

About the role

This client‑facing HR consulting position supports a diverse portfolio of Canadian organisations. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding leaders through the full employee lifecycle and delivering practical, people‑centered solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice to client leaders across private, public and non‑profit sectors.
• Lead employee‑relations activities, including conflict resolution, performance management and interpretation of Canadian employment legislation.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes from job posting to selection and reference checks.
• Develop, review and tailor HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks for each client.
• Participate in workplace investigations and handle sensitive employee issues with discretion.
• Collaborate with internal consultants on broader organisational development projects.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years progressive HR generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards, human rights and occupational health & safety legislation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced consulting environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a professional tone.
