PCBA Repair Technician – Full Time in Guelph

About the role
We are looking for a PCBA Repair Technician to join our manufacturing team in Guelph. The role involves diagnosing, debugging, repairing and reworking printed circuit board assemblies in close collaboration with Manufacturing, Technical Support and Engineering. You will work on a variety of high‑tech products used in robotics, drones, AI and vision systems.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose, debug, repair and rework PCBA units.
- Perform assembly, dis‑assembly, modification and rework of electronic components.
- Use soldering tools, hot‑air equipment and IPC‑A‑610/IPC‑7711/21 techniques on fine‑pitch components.
- Conduct electronic signal measurements with test equipment to troubleshoot multilayer PCB defects.
- Execute testing sequences on repaired boards following detailed work instructions.
- Follow Engineering Change Notices and maintain high quality standards.
Required profile
- Engineering Technician/Technologist college diploma.
- 2‑4 years of experience in PCBA repair or related field.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and layouts.
- Familiarity with Linux, QNX and Windows operating systems.
Required skills
- Soldering fine‑pitch components (IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑7711/21).
- Hot‑air rework of multi‑lead devices.
- ESD handling procedures.
- Electronic signal measurement and test equipment operation.
- High‑density or multilayer PCB experience.
