Payroll Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our accounting team and support accurate, timely payroll processing, along with some day‑to‑day accounting and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Process bi‑weekly payroll for hourly, day‑rate and salaried employees.
• Review timesheets for accuracy, including overtime, vacation and sick time.
• Maintain payroll records, handle changes to compensation, deductions and banking information.
• Prepare payroll‑related reports and assist with year‑end filings such as T4s, T4As and ROEs.
• Provide accounting support including expense processing, accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations.

Required profile

• 2+ years of payroll and administration experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a busy team.

Required skills

• Experience with Xero and Rippling payroll/HR software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of Canadian payroll processes and compliance.
