About the role
The Patient Care Specialist (PCS) serves as the primary point of contact for patients enrolled in a Specialty Health Network support program. Working within Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix, the PCS ensures patients receive high‑quality service throughout their treatment journey, fostering a positive and supportive experience.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the single liaison for patients in the support program, handling inquiries and coordinating services.
- Deliver program offerings with accuracy, empathy, and timely follow‑up.
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve patient satisfaction.
- Provide education on program benefits and assist patients in navigating their treatment plans.
Required profile
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced retail health environment.
- Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple patient interactions simultaneously.
