Part‑time Team Member (12 hrs/week) – French speaking

About the role

Join the Michaels team in Gatineau to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers find what they need, and ensure a fast, pleasant checkout experience. This part‑time position involves store recovery, merchandise handling, and promoting the Rewards program while working 12 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating products and provide solutions.
• Execute fast and friendly checkout transactions, handling cash according to standards.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate shoppers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Support Omni‑channel services such as Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloads, stocking, and planogram (POG) setups.
• Maintain merchandise recovery, returns, and overall store presentation.
• Perform Store In‑Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties.
• Assist with shrink control and safety programs.
• Cross‑train in custom framing sales and production.

Required profile

• Must be at least 16 years old and meet all legal employment requirements in Canada.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes, and reach high shelves using ladders.
• Physical capability to bend, lift, carry, and move throughout the store.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as scheduled.
