Part‑time Teacher for Adult Education Centre (0.70 FTE)

About the role

The Turtle Mountain Adult Education Centre is seeking a 0.70 FTE teacher to deliver Senior Years courses across its sites in Killarney, Boissevain and Swan Lake. The role combines a permanent 0.5 FTE contract with a limited‑term 0.2 FTE contract, beginning September 8 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Manitoba Senior Years curriculum to adult and under‑age learners.
• Provide instruction in teacher‑led, independent‑learning and online formats.
• Support learners on‑site at three physical locations, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
• Develop individualized learner plans that focus on literacy, numeracy and employability skills.
• Collaborate with the Education Director and centre staff to align teaching with the Provincial Teachers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience teaching Manitoba Senior Years curricula.
• Knowledge of adult secondary education and adult literacy concepts.
• Ability to work flexible hours, averaging five hours and fifty minutes of instruction per day.
• Willingness to travel between Killarney, Boissevain and Swan Lake.
