Our meat department is fundamental to Food Basics’ overall success with a focus on always fresh, in stock, and up to standards. If you are interested in assisting customers and are passionate about the food industry, the produce department is waiting for you! This is a permanent part‑time position within a unionized bargaining unit, and the hourly wage starts at $16.60 as established by the collective agreement. The responsibilities and relationships assigned to this role may change as necessary to achieve Metro’s business objectives. Shift options include day, evening and weekend work, providing flexibility for a variety of schedules. Metro uses artificial intelligence tools to assist in screening applications, while all hiring decisions are made by the Talent Acquisition team.
