Part‑time Cashier – Retail Store

About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Grimsby and provide friendly, efficient checkout service to customers. As a part‑time cashier you will be the face of the store, ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm demeanor and maintain a neat checkout area.
• Accurately scan items, process PC Optimum cards, coupons, lottery tickets and cash transactions.
• Handle cash, coupons, lottery and stamp inventory according to loss‑prevention standards.
• Merchandise designated areas, including facing, signing and labeling products.
• Comply with health, safety, uniform and store policies.
• Perform additional duties as required, such as receipt documentation and returns processing.

Required profile

• Strong planning, judgement and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to maintain a tidy work environment.
• Effective communication and customer‑service focus.
