Parts Counter Person – Coeur Rainy River Mine Site

About the role

Toromont Cat is seeking a Parts Counter Person for the Coeur Rainy River Mine Site near Thunder Bay. The role is the primary customer contact for parts advice and distribution, supporting mining operations on a rotational schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, environmentally sound service while adhering to Toromont’s health and safety policies.
• Enhance customer experience by offering product expertise, parts recommendations, and communicating promotions.
• Handle parts inquiries via counter, email, and phone promptly and courteously.
• Manage daily parts operations: sourcing, ordering, backorder follow‑up, inventory counts, processing cores, warranties, and building hydraulic hoses for internal and external customers.
• Provide on‑call service, including weekends and evenings, on a 14‑day on/14‑day off rotation (12‑hour shifts).

Required profile

• Minimum post‑secondary education.
• At least 3 years experience in a parts service role.
• Ability to work safely in a remote mining environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with DBS system.
• Proficiency with SIS system.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
