Part-time Organ Lecturer (Music Department)

About the role

The Music Department at Mount Allison University seeks a part‑time lecturer to provide organ studio instruction for a dedicated student across the 2026‑2027 academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly studio instruction (approximately one hour) and a studio class for the student.
• Oversee the student’s performance preparation and repertoire development.
• Assess the student’s performance juries and provide constructive feedback.
• Teach the courses MUSC 1501‑4591 during both Fall and Winter semesters (September 2026 to April 2027).
• Maintain accurate records of instruction and assessment.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in organ performance.
• Established record as an organ performer.
• University‑level studio teaching experience.
• Ability to mentor a single student intensively.
• Availability for the full term from September 2026 to April 2027.
