Part-time Lecturer – Single Reeds (Clarinet & Saxophone)

About the role
The Music Department at Mount Allison University seeks a part‑time instructor to teach Single Reeds (clarinet and saxophone) for the Winter semester (January – April 2027). This stipendiary appointment offers an opportunity to work with a small cohort of dedicated music students on campus.
Key responsibilities
- Provide weekly one‑on‑one studio instruction for up to nine students (approximately one hour per student).
- Conduct a studio class for the course MUSC 1501–4591.
- Oversee student performance preparation and guide repertoire selection.
- Assess student performance juries and provide constructive feedback.
Required profile
- Graduate degree in music performance (preferably in brass or reed performance).
- Established record as a professional clarinet and/or saxophone performer.
- University‑level studio teaching experience.
- Ability to mentor and evaluate student musicians.
