Part-time Lecturer – Business Studies (COMM 1011)

About the role
The Ron Joyce Centre for Business Studies at Mount Allison University is seeking two part‑time stipendiary lecturers to teach COMM 1011A and COMM 1011B (Applications in Business Studies) during the Fall 2026 term. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with two sections of approximately 75 students each, and are delivered in person on the Sackville campus.
Key responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver lecture content for COMM 1011A/B.
- Develop course materials, including readings, assignments, and assessments.
- Manage classroom activities, facilitate discussions, and evaluate student performance.
- Maintain office hours and provide academic support to students.
- Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and course improvement.
Required profile
- Graduate degree in Business Studies or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate business courses.
- Strong commitment to high‑quality teaching and student engagement.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency preferred; applicants must indicate status.
