Part-time Instructor for Introduction to Health Careers

About the role

Coast Mountain College is seeking a part-time Instructor to deliver the Introduction to Health Careers (HLTH 101) course for the spring term. The appointment runs from 3 February 2027 to 8 April 2027 and involves teaching a mixed schedule of lectures and interactive sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course material for HLTH 101, covering a range of health professions and academic planning.
• Facilitate classroom discussions, experiential activities, and mentorship for students.
• Provide timely feedback, assessments, and guidance to support student success.
• Collaborate with partner schools (SD 52 and Charles Hayes Secondary) to align curriculum.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing or a related health discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the post-secondary level, preferably with experiential formats.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ability to work effectively with Indigenous communities.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
