Part-Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor – Math & English (Grades K‑9)

About the role

Oxford Learning Pickering is seeking enthusiastic part‑time teacher‑tutors to support elementary students in mathematics and English from Kindergarten to Grade 9. The role is on‑site, after‑school and weekend, and offers a chance to work with pre‑planned lessons while helping students build confidence and academic skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring (up to three students) following Oxford Learning’s curriculum.
• Teach both in‑person (Mon‑Thu 4‑8 pm, Sat 9 am‑12 pm) and online sessions as needed.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily communication updates for each student.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and encourage a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable certification in a relevant field (or fourth‑year university student with extensive tutoring experience).
• Strong knowledge of the current K‑9 math and English curriculum.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to manage up to three students simultaneously and commit to the term ending in June (summer continuation preferred).
