About the role

Join Hot Topic’s busiest mall store as a Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 2. You’ll work directly with the Store Manager to drive sales, build a passionate team, and deliver an unforgettable in‑store experience for music and pop‑culture fans.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and comparable sales goals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, enthusiastic team.
• Create buzz and customer engagement through product promotions, social‑media outreach, BOPIS, and curbside pickup.
• Lead operationally sound business practices, balancing delegation, customer‑first selling, and store operations.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Communicate trends and customer feedback with retail leadership and HQ partners.
• Run sales reports and use data to shape strategies for hitting targets.
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch promotions on schedule.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting, and operations skills (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising).
• High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary degree is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑changing retail environment and handle curveballs.
