Painter

About the role

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a hotel in Banff National Park, is hiring a Painter on a permanent, full-time basis. You will help maintain the aesthetic quality and integrity of the property by providing professional painting, finishing and touch-up services throughout the hotel. Pay is $21.26-$40.14 per hour depending on level of experience and qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and paint surfaces such as walls, ceilings, doors and trim using appropriate techniques and tools.
• Perform drywall repairs, patching, taping and sanding as needed.
• Maintain all painted surfaces so the hotel is always presented at its best.
• Safely store, label and handle paint products and related materials.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks related to finishes and coatings.
• Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and ventilation procedures.

Required profile

• Alberta Painter and Decorator Journeyperson certification is an asset.
• Hand-tool requirements as listed in the Letter of Agreement B, Local 4325A.
• Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's licence and a clean abstract.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada; the hotel cannot assist with work authorization.
