Packaging Intern – 15‑Week Summer Internship

About the role

The Packaging Intern will join Labatt’s Edmonton brewery for a 15‑week summer internship, supporting a strategic packaging improvement project that enhances operational performance, efficiency, safety and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a packaging improvement project focused on process efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with managers, production teams and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand supply‑chain and 24/7 brewery operations.
• Analyze operational challenges and work with experienced manufacturing professionals to develop innovative solutions.
• Develop practical leadership skills in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Gain expertise in world‑class safety, quality and sustainable packaging practices, including Canada’s returnable glass bottle system.

Required profile

• Currently in the 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business or a related field, returning to school in September 2027.
• Legal right to work in Canada and of legal drinking age.
• Demonstrates ownership, integrity and a curiosity‑driven learning attitude.
• Bold, innovative thinker who challenges the status quo and simplifies problems.
• Effective communicator and collaborator.
