Order Picker Associate (Part‑time)

About the role

The Order Picker Associate supports the Service Desk team by gathering, packing and labeling merchandise to fulfill customer orders. You will work with pick lists, use the Order Fulfillment Application and ensure orders are ready for curbside pickup or delivery. The role involves interacting with customers for basic order transactions and maintaining a safe warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve and prioritize pick lists, gather merchandise throughout the store and pack orders accurately.
• Load delivery vehicles, handle curbside orders and comply with safety regulations.
• Create and maintain space for delivery orders, label and protect items for transport.
• Follow Home Depot’s GET customer service model (greeting, engaging, thanking) and handle POS sales, returns and customer calls.
• Move freight safely using appropriate equipment and follow loss‑prevention policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail or distribution experience (preferred).
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, climbing ladders up to 12‑16 ft.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and occasional overnight shifts.

Required skills

• Operation of reach trucks and order picker machines.
• Use of the Order Fulfillment Application and POS systems.
• Proper handling and labeling of merchandise for transport.
