Operations/Construction Manager

About the role

The Operations/Construction Manager leads the end‑to‑end delivery of one or more industrial construction projects for Ganotec, ensuring they meet business objectives, schedules and budgets while upholding the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project objectives and promote the project’s value across the organization to secure resources and engagement.
• Provide strategic guidance and business advice to Project Managers, aligning initiatives with company goals.
• Act as the primary liaison among project teams, corporate leadership and external stakeholders to enable efficient decision‑making.
• Resolve complex project challenges and make authoritative decisions beyond the Project Manager’s scope.
• Validate and prioritize business needs, ensuring projects start with clear direction and remain viable investments.
• Manage change‑control processes, assess risks and maintain project integrity.
• Define and oversee the project’s organizational structure, roles, responsibilities and reporting lines.
• Enforce strict adherence to all safety policies and foster a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in heavy‑industrial construction.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage large‑scale projects across Canada.
• Strong decision‑making skills and experience handling complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
