About the Position
Join a leading postal service as an Operations Supervisor (Relief), where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of mail and parcel delivery. You will act as a key leader on the ground, bridging the gap between corporate strategy and operational excellence within a local area.
Main Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Supervise daily mail delivery and processing operations, ensuring efficient sortation, routing, and timely delivery in compliance with regulatory procedures.
- Team Leadership: Act as the "voice of the company" by communicating performance expectations, business updates, and results to letter carriers, RSMCs, and CUS teams.
- Process Optimization: Set daily priorities for mail processing facilities to meet strict service commitments and monitor scanning exceptions to ensure continuous movement.
- Health & Safety Leadership: Promote a culture of safety by implementing workplace health programs, conducting accident investigations, and coaching employees on safe work practices.
- Human Resources Management: Administer essential HR processes including staffing, performance management, attendance, and disability management, while collaborating with Labour Relations regarding collective agreements.
Profile Required
- Proven experience in supervisory roles, preferably within logistics, postal services, or large-scale distribution environments.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to coach, direct, and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively share business updates and resolve staff issues.
- Ability to manage complex human resources tasks and navigate unionized environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and operational efficiency.
