Online Statics Tutor (Remote)

About the role

Join the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform as an online Statics Tutor. You will work from home, setting your own schedule while helping engineering students master core statics concepts and prepare for advanced coursework.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one virtual tutoring sessions on statics topics such as force systems, equilibrium, free‑body diagrams, trusses, frames, centroids, and moments of inertia.
• Explain vector resolution, moment calculations, method of joints and sections, and static equilibrium conditions.
• Guide students through problem‑solving steps, from diagram construction to equation setup and solution verification.
• Adapt instruction to each student’s learning style using step‑by‑step frameworks and visual aids.
• Utilise the platform’s AI‑powered Tutor Copilot for real‑time instructional support and lesson generation.

Required profile

• Deep mastery of statics concepts and ability to teach them clearly to first‑ and second‑year engineering students.
• Experience breaking down complex problems into systematic, understandable steps.
• Familiarity with typical engineering statics curricula and common student challenges.
• Strong communication skills, a friendly teaching style, and the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.
