Occupational Therapist I

About the role

The Occupational Therapist I will join the Seating Team to deliver Level B and C seating services across the north area of the Central Zone. Based in Camrose, the role involves both clinic‑based and community‑based assessments, requiring travel to client locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level B and C wheelchair seating assessments and interventions.
• Collaborate with the Seating Team in Camrose and Red Deer.
• Conduct triage, screening, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, education, case management and referral.
• Engage clients, families and interdisciplinary teams to support functional independence.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and peer mentoring.
• Supervise Therapy Assistants, Therapy Aides and occupational therapy students.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
• Driver’s licence and personal vehicle for travel.
• AADL authorizer training for wheelchair seating.
