Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specialized in primary care to join its network of modern clinics across Quebec. You will provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care, working closely with physicians and other health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct complete health assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
• Establish diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe necessary tests and medications.
• Monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and mental health issues.
• Perform minor procedures (suturing, foreign body removal, drainage) and administer vaccinations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in case reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Educate patients and families on preventive care, lifestyle choices, and disease management.
• Document all interventions accurately and comply with clinical protocols and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing with primary‑care NP training.
• Successful completion of the OIIQ/CMQ certification exam.
• Member in good standing of the OIIQ.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning.
• Proficiency with first‑line clinical protocols.
• Prescribing medications safely and appropriately.
• Suturing, foreign‑body removal, and minor drainage techniques.
• Vaccination administration.
• Accurate medical documentation.
