Node.js/TypeScript Cloud Developer (Remote)

About the role

Syntax is seeking a Cloud Node.js Developer to design and implement backend services for its GenAI suite targeting enterprise systems. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to multi‑tenant SaaS solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Node.js/TypeScript backend services and APIs for multi‑tenant cloud applications.
• Work with relational databases such as SAP HANA and PostgreSQL, manage schema migrations, and optimise SQL performance.
• Implement tenant onboarding, configuration, and cleanup logic, as well as integration flows using REST or event‑driven architectures.
• Deploy and operate services on SAP BTP using CAP, HDI containers, or approuter setups where applicable.
• Contribute to GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Docker‑based deployments, and automated release workflows.
• Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and release coordination.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
• Good understanding of cloud‑native principles (12‑factor apps, configuration, logging, scaling).
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
