Network and Systems Support Technician

About the role

Lacroix Private Medicine is seeking a Network and Systems Support Technician to join its IT team in Laval. The role provides Level 1 and Level 2 support across clinics, operating rooms and a laboratory, ensuring reliable network and system operations. The position is full‑time, onsite with occasional travel to nearby sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end‑users, including diagnosis, resolution, follow‑up and escalation.
• Install, configure and maintain servers, network equipment and firewalls.
• Manage the IT infrastructure, including workstations, printers and peripheral devices.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with the IT team on critical incidents, improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support the stability of operations in clinics, operating rooms and the medical laboratory.

Required profile

• DEC in Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in technical support or systems/network administration.
• Resident of Laval or nearby areas (on‑site position).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and clear professional communication.
• Ability to manage time, priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.

• Configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform.
• Remote access: RDP, SSH.

• Scripting: PowerShell, CMD.
• Backup solutions: Veeam, Acronis.
• Collaboration tools: Microsoft Teams, Slack, Jira, Planner.
• Network cabling (Ethernet, RJ45) and testing tools.
• Installation and maintenance of network infrastructures.
