Navigator, Client Services – Summer Job

About the role

The Navigator, Client Services is the first point of contact between the Alzheimer Society of Alberta & Northwest Territories and its clients. This temporary, full‑time position (May 16 – August 28 2026) offers an opportunity to develop client‑service, data‑entry and communication skills while supporting seniors and persons living with dementia.

Key responsibilities

• Support referral intake and provide ongoing follow‑up for clients.
• Participate in the delivery of standardized programs and conduct outreach about available services and benefits.
• Maintain accurate, objective client records and manually update the Society’s database after consulting with team members.
• Assist in raising public awareness about dementia and its impact on families.
• Review and modify client accounts for accuracy and consistency according to Society standards.
• Perform other duties and projects of a similar nature as required.

Required profile

• Some post‑secondary education in Social Work, Health Services, Human Services or a related field.
• Experience in a customer or client‑service environment.
• Understanding of Alzheimer’s disease/dementia and care‑partner issues is an asset.
• Familiarity with services and resources for seniors or persons with disabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Recent vulnerable sector check.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $23.00 CAD.
• 4 % vacation pay, paid semimonthly.
• Full‑time schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑4:30 pm.
