About the role
As the National Account Manager – Retail, you will own Taylor Farms’ growth across Canada’s largest retail accounts, including Loblaw and regional partners such as Pattison Food Group and Federated Co‑op. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will set strategy, manage the P&L, launch new products and solve urgent customer challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Hit or exceed annual revenue and margin targets for your account portfolio.
- Land new distribution and item placements each year.
- Build a 12–24 month innovation pipeline with each strategic customer.
- Maintain an average 98% fill rate and collaborate closely with the customer service team.
- Turn IRI and customer‑portal data into insights that shape product development and strategy.
- Own the P&L for your accounts, managing revenue, margin, trade spend and promotional ROI.
- Develop segment strategies from IRI and category data to grow top‑ and bottom‑line results.
- Identify white‑space opportunities and drive new initiatives such as fresh‑cut salads, meal kits, dressings and value‑added produce.
- Travel regularly to customer offices, stores across GTA, Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon and the California HQ.
- Partner with R&D, Procurement, Operations and Marketing to commercialize new products and translate shopper insights into shelf space.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in CPG or produce sales, with direct selling into Loblaw preferred.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership and ability to build customer plans, model trade investment and explain margin movement to finance leaders.
- Proven track record of influencing cross‑functional teams across Operations, R&D, Supply Chain and Finance.
- Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, variable environment where priorities shift weekly.
