Music Lesson Teacher (Independent Contractor)

About the role
Join Long & McQuade as an independent contractor delivering high‑quality music lessons at our on‑site Lesson Centre in Bowmanville. You will work with students of all ages, helping them develop proficiency on piano and other instruments offered at the store.
Key responsibilities
- Provide private and group piano lessons following the store’s curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, assess student progress, and adjust teaching methods as needed.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming environment in the lesson studio.
- Collaborate with store staff to promote lesson programmes and schedule sessions.
Required profile
- Music degree or diploma from a recognized university or college, OR a minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments equivalency.
- Previous teaching experience with students of various ages.
- Familiarity with standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum for private or group instruction.
Required skills
- Piano performance and instruction.
