Municipal Engineer – Water, Wastewater & Transportation

About the role

The City of Regina is seeking a professional Engineer to support its water, wastewater, drainage, and transportation systems. This permanent position focuses on reviewing and approving engineering works while conducting technical analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary designs for water, wastewater, drainage, and transportation projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, plans, and applications from consultants and developers to ensure compliance with City standards.
• Develop technical and business reports for presentations, public responses, and internal documentation.
• Represent the Department in committee, council, public, and stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, processes, and statistics related to municipal water, wastewater, drainage, solid waste, and environmental infrastructure.
• Familiarity with standards, policies, safety, construction practices, and equipment for municipal infrastructure.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
