Molecular Biology Technician (Temporary, 3-6 months)

About the role

Debut Biotech is seeking a Molecular Biology Technician on a temporary 3‑6 month assignment. The technician will support both research and production teams by preparing media, reagents, and microbiology plates while maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare chemistry and microbiology reagents, including buffers, cell growth media, analytical standards, and plates following SOPs.
• Clean, sterilize, and autoclave glassware and small equipment.
• Assist team members with experiment setup, sample collection, and data analysis.
• Monitor and replenish lab supplies, notifying purchasing when reorders are needed.
• Maintain a tidy, organized, and safety‑compliant workspace, including occasional off‑hours or weekend work.

Required profile

• Associate degree with 1 year experience, or High School diploma/GED with 2 years experience.
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed work instructions and perform reproducible laboratory procedures.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and record‑keeping skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lb, and perform typical lab movements.
