Mold Mechanic

About the role

Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., which has manufactured tires in Nova Scotia for over 55 years and employs more than 4,000 people across three facilities, is looking for a Mold Mechanic in Waterville, NS. The role involves working on moulds in presses, with a focus on assembly, repair, dimensional adaptation and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, repair and adjust moulds in presses, including dimensional changes and troubleshooting.
• Carry out mould maintenance and interventions to ensure a conform envelope.
• Apply safety instructions and technical references.
• Check moulds on receipt and after the curing campaign, and maintain them after inspection.
• Clean, repair and assemble moulds in the press so they cure properly.
• Ensure interventions are effective and efficient, with optimized time and controlled use of resources and parts.
