Miner 3 – Scoop Operator (Underground Mining)

About the role

Join the inaugural team developing a new underground mine in the Red Lake gold district of Ontario. Working on a 2‑weeks‑on/2‑weeks‑off roster, you will support daily production while adhering to strict safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all site safety guidelines and shift plans set by the Underground Mine Supervisor.
• Operate a scooptram to muck material from development faces, stopes and draw points.
• Prepare development faces for drilling or loading and retrieve ore from stopes.
• Back‑fill stopes after ore extraction is completed.
• Perform routine maintenance on mining machinery.
• Install and extend ventilation, air and water piping and other mine services.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• Underground common core module training and certification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in mucking and haulage activities.
• Ability to work independently and as a proven team player.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Scooptram operation.
• Mining machinery maintenance.
• Ventilation and pipe installation.
