Mid-Level Debt Finance Associate – New York City

About the role

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Mid-Level Debt Finance Associate to join its New York finance practice. The role involves working on sophisticated domestic and cross‑border financing transactions for top‑tier sponsors, lenders, and corporate borrowers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist on syndicated, leveraged and acquisition financing deals.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, commitment papers, and other financing documentation.
• Conduct legal analysis of complex financing structures.
• Coordinate with partners and attorneys across the firm’s international network.
• Manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• JD from an accredited law school or equivalent legal qualification.
• Admission to a U.S. state bar (or ability to obtain admission).
• 4–7 years of experience in debt finance, leveraged finance, or related banking transactions.
• Strong analytical, drafting and communication abilities.
• Willingness to relocate to New York City.
