Merchandiser – Retail Store

About the role

We are looking for a Merchandiser to join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store. You will ensure product displays are attractive, organized and ready for customers while supporting back‑room operations and excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Organise back‑room inventory following Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes.
• Use PDT and MMS systems to perform daily merchandising tasks, manage exit strategies and product returns.
• Maintain product placement, monitor expiry dates and keep store standards and visual trends.
• Receive merchandise, document deliveries, and keep the back‑room tidy and compliant.
• Provide friendly customer assistance on the sales floor and uphold uniform and dress‑code policies.
• Follow health‑and‑safety, loss‑prevention and store standards.

Required profile

• Strong planning, judgement and decision‑making abilities.
• Efficient, organised and detail‑oriented with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Accurate cash handling when required.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and maintain a clean, professional appearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PDT system.
• Proficiency with MMS system.
• Cash register operation.
• Basic computer skills.
