Merchandiser (Retail)

About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store and help deliver health, beauty and convenience products to your community. As a Merchandiser you will keep the customer at the centre of every task, ensuring the store is well‑stocked, organized and visually appealing.

Key responsibilities

• Organize back‑room inventory and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes.
• Use PDT and MMS systems to perform daily merchandising tasks, including product placement, expiry monitoring and exit‑strategy management.
• Receive merchandise, document deliveries, and maintain a tidy back‑room according to store standards.
• Maintain consumer‑focused, “shoppable” product displays that reflect current trends.
• Provide friendly customer service on the sales floor and adhere to uniform and dress‑code policies.
• Comply with health and safety, loss‑prevention, and store standards.

Required profile

• Strong planning, judgement and decision‑making abilities.
• Efficient, organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to work independently, self‑motivated and capable of handling cash accurately when required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and climb ladders.
