Member Service Representative – Roadside Assistance (Remote)

About the role
Join Alberta Motor Association’s 24/7 Roadside Assistance team as a Member Service Representative working from the comfort of your home. You’ll provide calm, friendly support to members facing stressful roadside situations, ensuring they receive the help they need quickly.
Key responsibilities
- Act as one of the first points of contact for members calling for roadside assistance.
- Respond to high‑volume inbound calls, record member information accurately, and identify call locations.
- Use strong geographical and mapping skills to assign and process service requests efficiently.
- Stay informed on AMA products, services, and coverage options to educate members during calls.
Required profile
- Open availability for a minimum of 16 hours per week across at least four days, including one weekend day.
- High school diploma and previous customer‑service or call‑centre experience.
- Ability to work varied shifts, especially evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Private, secure home office with stable high‑speed internet and a smartphone for two‑factor authentication.
- Ability to pass a Canadian criminal record check.
Required skills
- Strong customer‑service and communication abilities.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and active‑listening skills.
- Proficiency with computers and quick learning of new applications.
- Geographical/mapping skills (experience with mapping software is a plus).
