About the role
Phylo is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the deployment foundations for its enterprise AI platform. You will work on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, secure single‑tenant deployments, observability, networking, storage, and operational workflows for real‑world biomedical research environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate infrastructure for single‑tenant and customer‑hosted deployments, including Kubernetes‑based services, sandboxed agent execution, compute workloads, storage mounts, networking, and observability.
- Support scientific and computational workloads such as HPC‑adjacent workflows, bioinformatics tools, batch execution, GPU/CPU compute, and large‑scale data movement.
- Collaborate with engineering, ML, science, and customer‑facing teams to plan deployments, debug issues, conduct reliability reviews, and manage production operations.
- Define long‑term architecture for deploying Phylo into pharma, biotech, academic, and research environments.
Required profile
- 2+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, SRE, platform or cloud engineering.
- Hands‑on production experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience deploying and operating systems on AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi or CDK.
- Strong understanding of networking, IAM, VPCs, load balancers, DNS, certificates, secrets management and cloud security fundamentals.
