Medical Science Liaison – Quebec & Atlantic Region

About the role

Join AstraZeneca as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) supporting the Quebec and Atlantic regions of Canada. You will act as a scientific bridge between the company and healthcare professionals, fostering objective, evidence‑based discussions that influence treatment decisions and drive scientific discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Review emerging clinical data with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and discuss benefits and risks in an unbiased manner.
• Engage HCPs as scientific consultants for advisory boards, speaker programs, and clinical trials.
• Identify and collaborate with HCPs on basic and pre‑clinical research aligned with corporate objectives.
• Provide regional insights on HCP practices, trends, and treatment challenges to inform AstraZeneca’s strategy.
• Serve as a field‑based subject‑matter expert for product lifecycle management across therapeutic areas.
• Uncover research opportunities and connect them with Medical Advisors through the Externally Sponsored Research process.
• Support clinical trial sites with scientific expertise during initiation and early phases.
• Partner with clinical operations to ensure successful site recruitment.

Required profile

• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or MSc) or equivalent healthcare professional background.
• Minimum two years of experience as an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize and communicate complex scientific information to physicians.
• Strong organizational skills, self‑motivation, and the capacity to build credible relationships.
• Willingness to travel frequently (local, national, and global) and a valid driver’s license.
