Mechanical Engineer – Remote (Montreal)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join Krech Ojard & Associates Ltd (KOA) on a remote basis from Montreal. The role supports multidisciplinary engineering projects across Canada and the United States, delivering mechanical solutions for a diverse, multinational client base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute office and field engineering projects, including major design and construction assignments for clients in Canada, the US and abroad.
• Prepare detailed plans, calculations, specifications, proposals, cost estimates and contract documents for mechanical and multidisciplinary projects.
• Conduct or supervise construction inspections, testing and material verification of mechanical components.
• Produce comprehensive engineering reports and present progress updates to internal teams and clients.
• Perform field surveys, collect data and analyse results throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with an active P.Eng registration in Québec (OIQ) or ability to obtain it within one year.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical or industrial engineering design, demonstrating leadership on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of CAD development and creation of drawing packages.
• Familiarity with project‑management methodologies and excellent organizational attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
