Materials ERP Administration Clerk (Data Entry)

About the role

This 11‑week contract position supports a growing manufacturing organization by maintaining accurate ERP data that drives production planning, forecasting, and material availability. Working on‑site in Newmarket, you will collaborate closely with the Materials ERP Analyst and cross‑functional teams to ensure SAP data integrity and help improve system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and verify ERP planning, forecasting, and demand data, resolving system discrepancies.
• Create, update, and maintain material masters, bills of materials, routings, sales orders, and production orders in SAP.
• Validate BOM structures and planning data to ensure correct material demand.
• Monitor inventory levels, identify variances, analyse trends, and recommend actions for effective material planning.
• Investigate and escalate suspicious material transactions, SAP IDOC errors, and data inconsistencies.
• Support engineering change implementation, theoretical demand maintenance, and alignment with production schedules.
• Assist with additional materials planning and ERP administration tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of ERP experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred but not required).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including macros and complex functions.
• Experience with SAP ERP (materials planning modules).
• Programming or automation knowledge such as Visual Basic, Python, PowerShell, or Power Automate.
