Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Join Ford’s Oakville Assembly Complex as a Manufacturing Engineer, helping to launch and scale new vehicle programs. You will work within a cross‑functional Advanced Program & Delivery team to develop and implement manufacturing processes that support world‑class smart vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for assigned subsystem (e.g., electrical, powertrain, suspension, exterior, interior, vehicle engineering).
• Collaborate with product development to generate facility and tooling cost estimates, improve quality and reduce labor.
• Use virtual tools to assess feasibility of new model designs for high‑volume assembly.
• Write, modify and maintain process sheets, update cycle line layouts and ensure workstations are ready for launch.
• Lead manufacturing assembly builds across stages such as Design Confirmation Vehicle, Tooling Trial, Pre‑Production and Mass Production at Canadian (and potentially Mexican) plants.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to think outside the box.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product development, tooling and production teams.
