Manufacturing Engineer

About the role
ForceN is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, transfer, and scale‑up of high‑precision force‑moment sensing systems. You will work closely with R&D, operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to turn innovative hardware designs into repeatable, robust production processes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for electro‑mechanical sensing hardware.
- Scale prototype and pilot builds to larger‑scale production while maintaining quality and yield.
- Collaborate with design and operations teams to resolve DFM, process, and manufacturability challenges.
- Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, assembly procedures, and inspection requirements.
- Specify, develop, and improve tooling, fixtures, and production aids.
- Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure processes are transferable and meet delivery targets.
- Troubleshoot production issues, lead root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Continuously improve workflows to increase throughput, reduce cost, and enhance reliability.
- Support machining, fabrication, assembly, and inspection activities, including tolerance reviews.
- Participate in production readiness activities such as build planning, training, and process validation.
Required profile
- Hands‑on manufacturing engineering experience with high‑precision electro‑mechanical hardware.
- Proven ability to develop scalable production workflows and documentation.
- Experience collaborating with R&D, operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
- Strong problem‑solving skills for root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
