Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

ForceN is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, transfer, and scale‑up of high‑precision force‑moment sensing systems. You will work closely with R&D, operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to turn innovative hardware designs into repeatable, robust production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for electro‑mechanical sensing hardware.
• Scale prototype and pilot builds to larger‑scale production while maintaining quality and yield.
• Collaborate with design and operations teams to resolve DFM, process, and manufacturability challenges.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, assembly procedures, and inspection requirements.
• Specify, develop, and improve tooling, fixtures, and production aids.
• Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure processes are transferable and meet delivery targets.
• Troubleshoot production issues, lead root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Continuously improve workflows to increase throughput, reduce cost, and enhance reliability.
• Support machining, fabrication, assembly, and inspection activities, including tolerance reviews.
• Participate in production readiness activities such as build planning, training, and process validation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on manufacturing engineering experience with high‑precision electro‑mechanical hardware.
• Proven ability to develop scalable production workflows and documentation.
• Experience collaborating with R&D, operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
