About the role

The Manager, Technology & Systems enables BC Parks Foundation to work smarter by ensuring its technology and systems are secure, well‑managed, and aligned with organizational goals. This operational role connects people, tools, and expertise to drive efficiency and impact across the charity.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Foundation’s technology strategy and align investments with operational and strategic goals.
• Manage the technology roadmap and annual budget, tracking progress and adjusting priorities as needs evolve.
• Lead the evaluation and approval process for new technology requests.
• Oversee cybersecurity practices and ensure the organization’s data and systems are protected.
• Govern the software portfolio, infrastructure oversight, and technology projects, including AI and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with staff at all levels to understand needs, support decision‑making, and maximize technology ROI.

Required profile

• A connector and translator who can ask the right technical questions and clearly communicate with non‑technical colleagues.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects, vendors, and priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
• Curious about emerging technology, especially AI, and motivated to find practical applications in a mission‑driven environment.
• Hands‑on when needed and knows when to bring in the right expert.
• Collaborative team player who builds trust and makes people feel supported.

Required skills
