Manager, People & Culture

About the role

The Manager, People & Culture is responsible for attracting, developing, engaging and supporting colleagues while nurturing an exceptional workplace culture at Fairmont Vancouver Airport. This role works closely with hotel leaders to deliver impactful people initiatives and ensure a positive colleague experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment, delivering an outstanding candidate experience and promoting the hotel as an employer of choice.
• Design, facilitate and continuously improve learning and development programs, including onboarding, leadership development, service excellence and compliance.
• Champion colleague recognition and engagement through recognition programs, performance review support and new‑hire check‑ins.
• Act as the Director, People & Culture in their absence, providing guidance on colleague relations, performance management, policy interpretation and people initiatives.
• Assist with workforce planning, talent analytics and other strategic HR projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver learning and development programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to coach leaders on HR matters and foster an inclusive culture.
• Experience acting as an HR business partner or senior HR advisor.
