Manager, Cyber & Technology Risk

About the role

The Manager, Cyber & Technology Risk reports to the AVP and works closely with Enterprise Risk Management, Cybersecurity, IT, Privacy and other business units. The role provides independent challenge of cyber risk through assessments of security practices, roadmaps and strategies across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent assessments of current cyber security practices, roadmaps and strategies.
• Evaluate existing and future cyber technologies to ensure proper deployment and alignment with the cybersecurity roadmap.
• Maintain and manage cyber risk governance processes.
• Act as liaison between cyber and technology risk functions, IT, cybersecurity, business, Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit.
• Measure the cyber program against risk appetite, regulatory compliance and industry standards.
• Facilitate identification and remediation of cyber risk initiatives using KPI management.
• Partner with stakeholders to assess operational resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery, providing recommendations.
• Promote a culture of cyber risk awareness throughout the organization.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in cyber technology management, preferably in retail or a global organization.
• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SCFCRISC, CISA are a definite asset.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Firewalls, cloud security, IDS/IPS, DLP, IDAM.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO, COBIT, PCI frameworks.
• Network technologies, hardware platforms and operating systems.
• Security interoperability across technology stacks.
• Understanding of data privacy practices and laws.
